In their preparation for The International 10, PSG.LGD players are apparently isolated in their hotel rooms in Bucharest. According to Tiffani 'Oling' Lim, an International Esports Federation employee who also works at Dota 2 events as a translator, the team strictly avoids contact with anyone else and even does not use air-conditioning system.

Currently all Chinese teams that will compete at The International are preparing for the event in the same hotel. Earlier Team Aster announced that multiple members of their Dota 2 team got tested positive for COVID-19. Later Invictus Gaming revealed that their offlaner also tested positive for the virus. Meanwhile Elephant and Vici Gaming representatives claim that their players and staff received negative results to the test.

The International 10 initially was supposed to take place in August in Stockholm, Sweden, however later was relocated to Bucharest, Romania and rescheduled for October 7th – 17th. The tournament’s group stage will be played remotely, while the playoffs stage is expected to be held at Arena Nationala with live audience. However currently Romania experiences a rapid surge in COVID-19 cases amidst relatively slow vaccination rate compared to other EU countries.
